It is LGBTQ+ Center Lake County’s mission to make Lake County a place for LGBTQ+ people and their families to thrive. One of the many ways the LGBTQ+ Center does this is by providing trained facilitators to help strengthen your organizations’ competencies and knowledge about the LGBTQ+ community.

SafeZone Training is our introductory program into LGBTQ+ identities and suitable for groups of all sizes. SO / GIE / SC training is a comprehensive, interactive curriculum suitable for smaller class sizes looking to do more complete training. We can also customize trainings for your specific organization and areas of interest.

Safe Zone and SO / GIE / SC trainings can:

  • Help strengthen your organizations’ competencies and knowledge about the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Take a deeper dive into LGBTQ+ concepts with exercises focused on discrimination, prejudice and privilege.
