Each year the LGBTQ+ Center Lake County takes time to recognize and remember the lives of those trans* people that have been lost to senseless and hateful violence. This year more than thirty gender non-conforming individuals have been lost to other-party violence with another twenty lost to seld-inflicted violence – and this number is likely under-reported.

We invite you to join us for this time of remembrance and healing which serves as a harsh reminder that our work is far from done. Hear their stories, say their names, and honor those who are no longer among us. Visit our wishing well at the healing garden to read messages of support from prior years and to leave your own message for the future.
