Event Planning and Fundraising

  • Assist with planning and executing fundraising events, like drag bingo, monthly happy hours, or outdoor activities.
  • Help secure sponsorships, auction items, or entertainment for events.
  • Support event-day logistics such as setup, check-in, and guest relations.

Community Outreach and Advocacy

  • Represent LGBTQ+ Center at local community events, fairs, and Pride celebrations.
  • Help distribute flyers and promotional materials to raise awareness about services and programs.
  • Advocate for LGBTQ+ services through campaigns or petitions.

Administrative Assistance

  • Support behind-the-scenes tasks such as database management, filing, and correspondence.
  • Assist with donor and client data entry or follow-ups.
  • Provide clerical help during busy seasons like year-end fundraising.

Program Support for Youth & Adults

  • Volunteer as a workshop facilitator or activity leader for programs like FLOQ and SPECTRUM.
  • Assist with logistics and supervision during group activity sessions, planned excursions, or art showcases.
  • Help with developing program materials or workshops that benefit clients directly.

Professional Services and Expertise

  • Offer pro bono services such as legal advice, graphic design, photography, or grant writing.
  • Provide financial expertise or human resources consulting to support organizational growth.
  • Contribute your skills as a licensed therapist or counselor, directly impacting the wellbeing of our clients. (MFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, PhD)

Marketing and Social Media Support

  • Contribute to creating content for LGBTQ+ Center social media platforms, newsletters, and blogs.
  • Assist with graphic design, video editing, or managing online campaigns to increase reach and visibility.
  • Track analytics and recommend strategies to improve engagement.
